WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative John W. Mannion (NY-22) today continued his strong support for students and New York dairy farmers by helping to advance the bipartisan Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act through the Education and Workforce Committee. Mannion’s legislation will give students access to more milk options produced locally by New York dairy farms at school. 

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative John W. Mannion (NY-22) today joined Members of Congress at the Department of Education to demand answers from Acting Secretary Denise Carter on threats from the current administration to illegally dismantle the agency. Earlier this week, Mannion and his colleagues sent a letter to the Department to request a meeting. Mannion and his colleagues were denied entry to the building.

Mannion (NY-22) today sent the following letter to Acting Director Vaeth at the Office of Management and Budget regarding memo M-25-13 which orders all federal agencies to pause funding which could harm public safety, health care, rural communities, schools, child care, and other essential services in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative John W. Mannion (NY-22) today announced $3.9 million in federal support to establish nearly sixty miles of bicycle infrastructure across Central New York. The funding will help enable the design and engineering of the Central New York Regional Planning & Development Board’s “CNY Peace Trail” that will cover scenic routes through five counties.
