Supported the Stop Excessive Force in Immigration Act of 2025, which places strict limits and standards on immigration agents, with the intention of curbing excessive force and allowing greater transparency in enforcement. 

Supported the Immigration Court Due Process Protection Act of 2025, which would prohibit ICE from detaining or arresting people while at their immigration court hearings or regularly scheduled immigration check-ins. This would put an end to the administration targeting people who are following our immigration process in pursuing legal pathways to citizenship or permanent residency. 

Supported the bipartisan American Dream and American Promise Act of 2025 to provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children. It would also include recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) beneficiaries. 

Supported the PUBLIC SAFETY Act that redirects the excessive $75 billion given to ICE from the OBBB and allocates it to local law enforcement grant programs. 

Called for common-sense and humane reforms to immigration policy, including judicial warrants, no masks, body cameras, and no more targeting sensitive locations including churches, schools, and hospitals. 

Cosponsored the bipartisan H-1Bs for Physicians and the Healthcare Workforce Act, which would help address Central New York's health care worker shortage by exempting health care workers from any future or additional H-1B fees. 

Signed a discharge petition forcing the House to vote on legislation that would extend the TPS designation for Haiti.

Cosponsored the TPS Review Act, which would require DHS to follow a documented, evidence-based process before revoking TPS and allow TPS terminations to be challenged in federal court. 

Voted against continued DHS funding until necessary reforms are made to end lawless immigration practices and hold ICE accountable 

Voted against the increased spending on immigration enforcement and detention included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act 

Sent multiple oversight letters demanding answers from DHS and ICE after federal agents inappropriately targeted a Syracuse poll worker about her personal social media activity  

Attended community meetings and supported constituents with federal casework following ICE arrests in NY-22 

Called for the impeachment, resignation, or firing of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
