I commend the diplomatic efforts of the United States and our allies to reach a ceasefire that can end two years of conflict in the Middle East.

I have consistently called for the immediate release of all hostages and an end to the civilian suffering in Gaza — and thankfully, that day appears close at hand.

I support a strong international response to rebuild Gaza and provide aid and security for the Palestinian people. This ceasefire represents a critical step toward saving lives and building the trust necessary for lasting peace.
